Gowfers Spot On Against Rose
Carnoustie Panmure 1 Linlithgow Rose 1 (Carnoustie Won 5-3 On Penalties)
Carnoustie kicked-off and had an early shot at goal, but Smith's long-range effort was well off target.
In the Gowfers' next attack, a long through ball from Narey was headed on by Voigt, but with Steele unable to control it, the ball rolled out for a goal kick.
At the other end, a 35 yard free kick from Carrigan had Whyte struggling, but he managed to touch the ball on to the bar and over for a corner. Carrigan took the flag kick himself and found Grady, whose volley from the corner of the box flew high over the top.
Carnoustie's Smith then sent Conway away on the home left, but his shot from the edge of the box curled over the bar.
The Gowfers were doing most of the pressing at this stage and shortly afterwards a long ball forward from Craig, was headed on by Voigt, but McGlynn came smartly off his line to thwart Steele.
Linlithgow had a lucky escape when a Smith low cross was fumbled by McGlynn, but with no-one close enough to take advantage of the loose ball, the 'keeper had time to recover and gather the ball safely at the second attempt.
Back at the other end, Rose should have taken the lead when a D. Smith lay-off was met by Carrigan, who blasted high over the top when it looked easier to score.
Conway then put Carnoustie back on the attack with a fine solo run up the left before sending in a hard, low cross. Steele got a foot to the ball, but his shot lacked direction and flew high over the bar. In a rare Linlithgow attack, McArthur tried a snap shot from the left, but Whyte had it well covered at the near post.
Feeney then dispossessed Robertson 40 yards out and ran forward to the edge of the box, but fired over the top.
Linlithgow had been looking quite dangerous late in the first half, but just a minute from half-time, it was Carnoustie who opened the scoring. Muhsin fed the ball up the right to Steele, whose cross to the near post was knocked home by VOIGT at the second attempt to give the Gowfers the interval lead.

Shortly after the restart, Carnoustie came close to doubling their lead when Muhsin, coming in at the back post, just failed to get his head to a Conway cross.Conway then had a shot blocked and the ball rebounded to Craig, whose 25 yard effort was too direct and went straight to McGlynn.
As the Gowfers continued to press, a deep cross from the left by Conway was headed back across the box by Muhsin and fell to Voigt, whose shot was blocked for a corner. Muhsin's cross to the far post was met by Conway, whose fierce drive from the narrowest of angles was only just too high.
Linlithgow gradually worked their way back into the game and drew level in 62 minutes. A cross from the left by Carrigan was narrowly missed by Craig, allowing DICK, at the back post, a free header for the equaliser.
Encouraged by their goal, Rose now piled on the pressure and Whyte did well to clutch a McArthur cross, with Carrigan in close attendance.
However, Carnoustie weathered the storm and began to push forward once more and were unlucky not to regain the lead. Voigt got his head to a Conway 35 yard free kick, but McGlynn did well to touch the ball over the bar and the resultant corner was cleared.
In the dying seconds of regulation time, Abbot came close to sealing things for the Gowfers, but his long-range effort flew just wide of McGlynn's right-hand post.
