Carnoustie Panmure 2 Oakley United 1
Prior to the kick off a minute's silence was observed in memory of former Gowfers stalwart Adam 'Tug' Davidson, who had died during the week.Carnoustie started the game at a blistering pace and took the lead within the first minute. Voigt fed a pass through the middle to COLLIER, who coolly lobbed the ball over the advancing 'keeper into the empty net to give the Gowfers the best possible start.
Shortly afterwards, it was almost two from a Muhsin corner on the left, but Bollan failed to get any direction on his header and put the ball over the top.
Oakley then worked their way up the park and forced a corner oon the left, but Halpin's cross was headed clear by D.Smith. In 16 minutes, Voigt was booked for encroachment.
With the visitors going in search of an equaliser, Fyfe sent in a good cross from the left, but Sinclair blasted over.
Back at the other end, Carnoustie came close to doubling their lead when Cumming headed narrowly over from a Muhsin cross.
In response, Oakley pushed forward once more and won another corner, but Celentano headed just wide from Rushford's cross.
Cumming was then put through by Scott, but keeper Stewart made a great double save to keep the Fifers in touch.
As Carnoustie continued to do most of the pressing Mushin broke clear on the right and crossed inside to Collier, who shot wide of Stewart's right-hand post when he should have done better.
Minutes later, a Cook cross from the right was only just too high for Cumming at the back post.
Right on the half time whistle, a Cumming cross from the left set up another chance for the Gowfers, but D.Smith blasted his shot high over the bar.

Full back Allison then got up the park for Oakley, but his 30 yard strike flew well wide of the target.
In 76 minutes, Carnoustie at last went two up when a Scott free kick from the right-hand corner of the box was perfectly flighted for COLLIER, who bulleted a header past Stewart from six yards for his second of the match.
A minute later, Halpin was replaced by Carberry.
The Gowfers' two-goal advantage was short-lived, however, as in 78 minutes a Bannatyne corner from the right was met by ALLISON, who powered a header past McCafferty from six yards to put Oakley right back in the game.

In 82 minutes, Morrison was booked for dissent.
A minute later, the Gowfers were denied a penalty when D.Smith appeared to be tripped inside the box, but the referee waved play on.
