Carnoustie Panmure 4 Dundee Violet 2
Straight from the kick-off, Violet put Carnoustie under pressure, but McDonald's deep cross from the left was tipped over the crossbar by 'keeper Whyte for a fruitless corner. In the Gowfers' first attack, Cook fired a through ball to Collier, but Kelly came smartly off his line to save at the feet of the advancing player.
Back at the other end, Violet again came close when a Robertson cross was headed down by Lunan into the path of Grant, whose shot flashed across the face of the goal and wide of the far post.
As play continued to swing to and fro, Carnoustie should have taken the lead from a Voigt low cross into the six yard box, but Cook squandered the opportunity by turning the ball wide of the right-hand post with the 'keeper well out of position.
Voigt then decided to go it alone, but was well off target with a 20 yard drive. Carnoustie were now piling on the pressure and their efforts were rewarded in 17 minutes after Voigt ran on to a through ball from Muhsin and was fouled by the outrushing Kelly just inside the visitors' box. The Pansies 'keeper escaped with only a booking, but from the resultant spot kick, VOIGT slotted the ball low into the corner of the net to put the Gowfers ahead.
Shortly afterwards, the home side almost doubled their lead when a Muhsin cross from the left found Cook, who shot just wide of Kelly's left-hand post from the edge of the box.
In 26 minutes, Malone was booked for a foul on Voigt 25 yards out. Craig's free kick was flicked on by Morrison to Abbot, who shot narrowly over.
A rare counter-attack by Violet put Carnoustie under some pressure, but McDonald's deep cross from the left was well held by Whyte, with Lunan and Grant in close attendance.
Muhsin then broke clear on the Carnoustie left and forced a corner off Farnan. Muhsin took the flag kick himself, but his cross was too near the 'keeper and Kelly held it well.
Right on the half-time whistle, Lunan saw yellow after a foul on Abbot.

Carnoustie resumed with Wilkie on in place of Hendry, who had picked up a knock during the first half.It was the Gowfers who got the second period under way and had an early chance to increase their lead when a Voigt 25 yard drive flashed narrowly past Kelly's right-hand post.
McDonald picked up Violet's third booking of the match when he was cautioned for a foul on Muhsin in 51 minutes.
Showing no ill effects of the challenge, Muhsin then made a good run down the left before firing in a cross to Voigt, whose header was blocked on the line by a defender.
In 53 minutes, however, there was a shock for the Gowfers after Violet won a corner on the left. McDonald's cross into the six yard box picked out the unmarked LUNAN, who powered a header past Whyte for the equaliser.
Shortly afterwards, Carnoustie again found themselves under pressure when Wilkie fouled Lunan 40 yards out. Farnan quickly fed the free kick through to Robertson, but his cross found only the side-netting.
After being on the back-foot for a time, the Gowfers began to push forward once more and Voigt and Muhsin both had shots blocked by the defence in quick succession.
Violet remained dangerous on the break, however, and in one such breakaway, a Hood drive from the edge of the box was just wide of Whyte's right-hand post, with the 'keeper scrambling across his goal.
In 66 minutes, Szpak was booked for a foul on Voigt 40 yards out. Craig lofted the free kick deep into the visitors' box, but Voigt failed to get any direction on his header and the ball went wide of the target.
Play then switched quickly to the other end where the Gowfers had a lucky escape after Whyte came rushing from his line trying to reach a long through ball. McDonald, however, got there first and fired the ball across the 'keeper towards the empty goal, but Craig got back in time to clear off the line.
Next minute, it was Carnoustie who came close following a Muhsin corner on the left. Abbot met the ball at the edge of the box, but his shot was blocked on the line.
Violet made a double substitution in 71 minutes, replacing Szpak and Grant with Anderson and Kiddie.
A minute later, the Gowfers also made a change, sending on Conway for Muhsin, who had run himself into the ground.
Conway immediately made his mark with a fine solo run up the left before sending over a great cross to the far post where VOIGT headed strongly past Kelly to put Carnoustie back in front with 74 minutes gone.
A minute later, Conway again made his presence felt and was booked for pulling the shirt of a Violet defender.
As the Gowfers now pushed forward in search of further goals, Conway sent Beith clear on the left and after beating Malone, the debutant's cross to the far post was met by VOIGT, who drove home from six yards to complete his hat-trick.
In 80 minutes, Violet's veteran defender Malone went off and was replaced by Snowdon.
After another great run up the home left, Conway cut inside, but his fierce drive from the edge of the box was turned behind by Kelly at the base of his left-hand post.
Taking the corner himself, Conway's cross from the right picked out Collier, who headed narrowly past the right-hand post.
Violet then shocked Carnoustie for a second time in the match by pulling a goal back on the 90 minute mark. Slack play by the Gowfers' defence allowed ANDERSON to nip in and knock the ball home from six yards to give the Pansies a lifeline.
Kiddie almost snatched an equaliser when he managed to break clear and fire in a shot from the edge of the box, but Beith made a great block to clear the ball away.
Three minutes into stoppage time, however, a long ball forward from Conway was headed on by Collier and fell to COOK, who fired home from close in to seal Carnoustie's passage into the quarter-finals and a home tie against Dundee North End.
