Carnoustie were robbed of what could have been a vital point at Linlithgow as they controversially went down 3-2.

Alan McSkimmings side took the lead on 23 minutes when Scott Gray turned home a Pat Smith cross. The lead lasted just 7 minutes before Blair Batchelor equalised for the home side. Colin Strickland then put Linlithgow in front just before half time.

Trialist Chris Liversedge  drew Carnoustie level just five minutes in to the second half. The visitors defended manfully but were robbed of a crucial point when the referee controversially pointed to the penalty spot in the last minute for a challenge by Danny Millar. Kevin Kelbie converting the spot kick. There was still time for Macdonald to miss what appeared to be a simple chance before the referee blew the final whistle.

Manager Alan McSkimming was understandably disappointed after the game but was full of praise for his troops who had turned in a much improved performance

Fauldhouse United, who are one of Carnousties relegation rivals drew 1-1 at home to Newtongrange Star
