After seeing another club had produced a Workbook for children full of fun activities testing a range of key skills, we thought it was a brilliant idea, so our General Manager Mark has come up with our own version.
As restrictions due to the current pandemic continue and schools not set to reopen until June 1 at the earliest, we hope that this 15-page workbook will offer parents a fun addition to the school curriculum for their children.
The workbook is downloadable by clicking HERE and children are encouraged to participate in a range of activities that will test their writing skills, creative flair and also their general football knowledge.
Specifically, the workbook includes the following activities:
1. A warm-up Word Search
2. Design a new club badge
3. Design a new home & away kit
4. Create a new club mascot
5. Pick your Dream Team
6. Design a new club flag
7. Write a letter to an elderly relative or friend not seen since restrictions were enforced
8. A football quiz (parental help may be needed for this!)
Speaking about the workbook, Mark said “It is a tough time for families at present and we appreciate that it is sometimes difficult to keep the children motivated to do their work at home and we have been looking at ways in which we can help. I saw that another club had written a workbook and I thought it was a genius idea so set about creating our own version to their template.”
For each activity your child completes, we’d love for you to get in touch with us either through Facebook or Twitter to show us what they’ve achieved so we can share it.
