Carnoustie took a deserved point from an entertaining 2-2 draw with Jeanfield Swifts at Riverside Stadium
Manager Alan McSkimming was forced in to changes with Adam Harwood, Ryan Taylor, Ewan Buggins and Steven Cook all missing the game. Liam Scott and Ryan Roche both returned from injury and Luke McGeehan dropped back in to the right back slot. Scott Gray partnered Murray Mackintosh in the middle of the park.
All the goals came in the first fifteen minutes with Panmure taking a 2-0 lead. Jamie McCabe headed home after a great run and cross by Gordon Macdonald on 6 minutes and four minutes later, McCabe seized on a dreadful back pass by Fraser Smith before hitting a great finish in to the far corner of Mark Mitchells net.
Within 60 seconds, the home side pulled a goal back, a superb through ball from Chris Anton, on for the injured Mark Gordon, found Robbie Holden who finished well past Alan Cormack. Swifts were level on 15 minutes when a ball hit Murray Mackintosh on the back of the ankle and Stevie McManus reacted quickest to rifle the ball in to the bottom corner.
Both sides had chances to win the game but deep in to the second half Carnoustie were reduced to ten men when Ryan Roche was sent off. Panmure shut up shop with John Roberts dropping in to the back four and secured a valuable point, bearing in mind results elsewhere.
