The objective before the game was to progress in the competition and if we were to do that as well as producing a good performance and score some goals then that would be an extra bonus.

We produced a very professional performance and scored 6 goals, however if there is a downside then I would of liked for us to be more ruthless in front of the goal with the chances we created. The 6 goals that we scored were either well worked or through individual skill but we created several other easier chances that we did not covert which was frustrating.

I felt sorry for East Craigie on Saturday because I know that they were missing some key players, but I am sure that they will dust themselves down and be back on track as they are a good side with a vastly experienced management team.

From my point of view I was pleased that the goals came from different players on the park with 2 goals from our striker, 2 from a  midfielder and 2 from a defender. It is so important that all the players chip in with goals throughout the season especially with the quality that we have in the squad. When we get into our stride we are a difficult team to stop with the power and the pace that is in the squad this season.

With it being a cup game we were able to make a few changes which we was excellent, it is so important that we can give everyone as much game time as possible so we made changes to the previous week’s winning starting 11 and further changes once the goals started going in. We were able to experiment with formations and players in different positions which was the first time we have had the opportunity to do so.  The depth in the squad this season shows that there is real competition for places so players need to be at there best and perform when there on the pitch to make it hard for someone not to take the jersey.

Our next fixture is Newtongrange Star at home in the league and regardless of there current form and league position, Newtongrange are a top side and when it comes to the business end of the season they will be right up there competing for silverware. From our side we need to execute another top performance and if we do that then I am confident 3 points is more than achievable.

Thank you for your continued support.
