Carnoustie and Petershill will have to try again next weekend along with many other sides, after their Scottish Junior Cup tie at Laing Park failed a pitch inspection on Saturday morning.

Bo’ness United take pride of place among those games that survived the weather as they won 3-0 at home to Kilwinning Rangers. Calum Scott put United in front in the first half before Fraser Keast and Scott increased the lead in the second to secure their place in the Fourth Round. Also through to the Fourth Round are Jeanfield Swifts after they also won 3-0 at Tranent. Bonnyrigg Rose are through after winning 3-2 at Vale Of Leven while Haddington join their Lothian rivals after a 3-1 win at home to Vale Of Clyde. Blackburn United had to come from behind at home to Colocy Park but eventually ran out 5-1 winners. Dunbar United drew 3-3 in Aberdeen against Hermes and will now replay next weekend. The only East Region side to exit the competition yesterday were Coupar Angus who lost 3-1 at Arthurlie.
