Just like last year, with the help of Goalkeeper Jamie Robbie through his employers The Forster Group, we are supporting the Angus Spirit of Christmas Appeal
Angus Spirit of Christmas is staffed by volunteers to aid underprivileged children by providing a Christmas gift to those children living in hardship and poverty. The appeal was launched during Christmas 2015 to provide gifts for children living locally. Working with Social Work, Throughcare and Aftercare, Woman’s Aid, Children’s Services and other local organisations the volunteers co-ordinate Christmas gifts for Children and Young People in the Care/Social work system. Last year over 300 parcels were delivered to some of the most deprived and vulnerable youngers in our area and surrounding towns.
How it works;
You do something amazing by buying a Christmas gift for someone out of kindness
Budget per gift around £15 max. Gift ideas – cosy socks/sweets/smellies/chocolates/games/little treats/books/craft sets/play dhoh/lego/toys…
Please put all items (unwrapped for security reasons) into open gift bags
Label with age and gender and a message/xmas card if you like
NOTE: we are collecting hats, scarves and gloves sets (as an addition to the parcels) if you wish to buy and donate these also they be appreciated. These are given to children who have none.
Obviously it would have been easier if we had a home game for collecting but we hope that you will be able to bring your gifts along to the teams training nights this Thursday 28th November and next Tuesday 3rd December.
You have done us proud in previous years, lets do our bit once again to help the appeal.
Thanks for your support
Mark
