Sustainability has always been at the forefront of our thinking at Carnoustie Panmure, initially from a financial perspective.
However, we are very conscious that we need to do our bit to help the planet, that nobody can deny, is struggling and we are now in a position, to be able to look at ways in which we can reduce our carbon footprint.
With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we have formed a team that will look at ways to improve our carbon footprint, but primarily looking at the development of Laing Park.
The community club has already installed solar panels on the roof of the dressing room building and are beginning to see the benefits, it is projects like this that the new team will be looking at.
The team will be made up of Andrew Finlay as Facility Director and our Club Chaplain, John Toller alongside both Paddy Conway and Gordon Macdonald, who both have a wealth of experience in the field.
The team will start by having a general look at our operation and any instant improvements that we can make.
