Midlands League leaders Carnoustie Panmure remain six points clear of second placed Dundee East Craigie after they thrashed Tayport 5-0 at Laing Park.

Gowfers boss Phil McGuire was forced in to a change after Pat Martin suffered ankle ligament damage at Blairgowrie with Ryan Dignan returning to the starting XI alongside Dale Reid. Sam Simpson replaced Finn Kemlo with Ryan Suttie returning after suspension, replacing Kieran Conway.

Carnoustie started well and the game was effectively over by half time with The Gowfers ripping Tayport apart time and time again in a blistering first half, Dale Reid opened the scoring after 13 minutes and Ryan Dignan made it two with a great goal on 22 minutes. Reid then added his second on 32 minutes and Sam Simpson waded in with the fourth, seven minutes before half time.

The second half was a little calmer, Back Onside Man of the Match, Dale Reid completed his hat-trick with fifteen minutes to go and the visitors were reduced to ten men in the last minute when substitute Adam Fraser was sent off for a challenge on Simpson.
