Through his work away from Laing Park, Goalkeeper Jamie Robbie is supporting Angus Spirit of Christmas and Carnoustie Panmure FC have agreed to join him in backing the campaign and as a result we need your help.

Angus Spirit of Christmas is staffed by volunteers to aid underprivileged children by providing a Christmas gift to those children living in hardship and poverty.  Angus Spirit of Christmas group launched during Christmas 2015 to provide gifts for children living locally.  Working with Social Work, Woman’s Aid and other local organisations the volunteers set out lists of children we can give a secret Santa gift to.

The sad reality is that 1 in 5 children in Scotland lives in poverty and that figure predicted to rise over the coming years with a massive increase forecasted by 2020. Angus Spirit of Christmas wants to ensure every child is included at Christmas so this is your chance to be a secret Santa.

We are asking you to donate a gift bag for a girl or boy, the recommended average spend is £15 and you could gift Hats/scarfs/gloves/cosy socks/sweets/smellies/chocolates/games/little treats/books/dvd’s/toys…

Please don’t wrap the individual items inside the bag for security reasons.  Just pop the gifts into a xmas gift bag. Feel free to write a wee message or add in a xmas card

We will be collecting the bags at Laing Park this Saturday prior to the Scottish Junior Cup tie with Petershill from 12pm in the Committee Room. After the game Jamie will collect the bags and take them and pass them on to the charity for distribution to the children
