Carnoustie Panmure FC are delighted to announce Paddy Conway as the next Team Manager.
Paddy is no stranger to Laing Park as he was coach then assistant under Phil McGuire. As part of the clubs plans and developments the club felt it was integral that continuity and identity were the key components when choosing the next Manager.
Paddy has come through the system and played as a player, then progressed to coach and assistant manager over the last 5 years.
Paddy’s role will see him working closely with our previous Manager Phil McGuire who will take up a specific role which will see him combine both the business and football development of the Club focussing on key areas of player development, recruitment, coaches and strategies to improve performance.
Paddy said “ The role has been an ambition for me since I made the journey into coaching, as a local lad to be manager of the club is an honour. It is something I look forward to continuing to grow the team that has been built and to further my coaching credentials and working alongside Phil with his vast experiences will help the development both personally and as a club and it’s something that I’m exited about.
The club identity is very unique and something that is essential and it’s nothing that I have seen before in football. Phil has worked hard to pull the club together and will continue to do that with the footballing department and business side. The club over the years has changed not just on the pitch but hugely off it and how involved everyone feels from players, coaches, committee, players families and the community.
These are areas that are unique and speaking with the club we want to drive that on, players will naturally come and go and as a club it’s important we have players who are committed, until you have been part of this club you won’t understand the club identity but moving forward it is a key credential for me to maintain and enforce”
As the club embarks on several changes both on and off the park we shall update more in detail in due course.
