NEWTONGRANGE MATCH PREVIEW

This weekend sees Carnoustie make their penultimate away trip in the Super League as Alan McSkimming takes his side to New Victoria Park to take on Newtongrange Star.

This weekend’s game is the return of Panmure’s first game of the season that resulted in a 2-0  defeat at Laing Park, that was the beginning of a terrible eight game run before the side recorded a victory. Since we ended that run at Camelon, Carnoustie have lost just one league game on the road in the last ten league games, which has lifted them in to a mid-table position.

Last weekends defeat to Lochee United was disappointing on two fronts, the first that Carnoustie failed to take advantage of their first half dominance and second that they were by far, second best in all departments. Manager Alan McSkimming was understandably disappointed in his post-match interview and changes to the starting eleven are expected for this weekends game. Steven Cook is expected to be declared fit while Luke McGeehan is over an illness that kept him on the bench.

Kick Off at New Victoria Park is at 2.30pm

Elsewhere in the Super League Bo’ness United, who lost 5-0 at Dundonald last week are hosts to struggling Musselburgh Athletic, Camelon entertain Hill of Beath Hawthorn at Carmuirs Park and Lochee United are at home to Broxburn United.
