A very disappointing second half saw Carnoustie lose 2-0 at home to Lochee United at Laing Park
Carnoustie fielded the same starting eleven as had performed so admirably at Penicuik last week and should have gone in at half time in front after just about shading the first 45 minutes.
However, with the second half only 60 seconds old Paddy Deane put his side in front with a cheeky back heal after the Carnoustie defence failed to deal with a Deasley cross. The visitors should have extended their lead before they did but Deasley put the game beyond the home side when he completed a run across the box, unhindered, scoring via a deflection off Jamie Robbie.
As disappointing game as last week was impressive but its onwards and upwards with two big games to come starting with Newtongrange Star next weekend.
