Carnoustie cruised in to the semi final of the GA Engineering Cup with a comfortable 4-1 victory at Maud this afternoon.
Stuart Gersok got Panmure off to a great start, scoring in the first minute. The hosts managed to get back on level terms in the 20th minute before Ewan Buggins restored Carnousties lead on 25 minutes.
Alan McSkimmings men wrapped the game up with two goals in 5 minutes just before the hour mark. Michael McIlravey netting the third before Marc Scott hit number four.
It will be a side from Tayside or Perthshire that Carnoustie will face in the semi final after this afternoons other ties.
Downfield face Lochee United in the remaining Quarter Final after they both despatched North Region sides in the last Third Round ties at Bridge of Don and Hall Russell respectively. Meanwhile in the other Quarter Finals Broughty Athletic won 1-0 at home to Forfar West End while Banchory St Ternan gave Jeanfield a shock with the Perth side needing penalties to dispense with their opponents.
