Carnousties poor record at Albyn Park continued as Alan McSkimmings patched up side lost 3-0 to Broxburn in there last game of 2016.
Alan Cormack retained his place in goal but Steven Cook damaged an ankle in training so Gordon Macdonald was back at left back with Ewan Buggins on the right. Adam Harwood who had been ill all week partnered Ryan Roche at the back. Scott Gray was on the right hand side with Sam Simpson leading the line. The bench was made of of youngsters Adam Brown and Bailey Steel alongside Jamie Robbie.
Carnoustie started slowly and it was no surprise when Broxburn took the lead on 12 minutes when Alex Miller beat the offside trap before slipping the ball past Alan Cormack. Five minutes later it was 2-0 a long ball over the top was met by an attempted clearance from Adam Harwood but he could only hit the ball on to Ross Nimmo who took full advantage and smashed the ball past Cormack.
The second half was much the same with Broxburn well in control. Harwood was replaced just after half time by Bailey Steel who made his Panmure debut. Broxburn scored a third on 67 minutes when skipper Craig Purves poked the ball home in a goal mouth scramble.
To compound the defeat for Carnoustie, Pat Smith was sent off after receiving his second booking for comments made to the Assistant Referee
