Dale Reid hit an 85th minute winner for Carnoustie Panmure over Lochee United at Laing Park as Phil McGuire’s side maintained their challenge to leaders Dundee East Craigie.
McGuire made one change to the side that beat Downfield with Dale Reid returning to the starting eleven in place of Finn Kemlo, who dropped to the bench.
Carnoustie started well and dominated early passages of the game but the visitors came in to the game gradually with Darren Clarkson making two brilliant saves, however, The Gowfers deserved to take the lead on 41 minutes with a great strike from Steven McPhee.
Lochee came out for the second half with George Shields half time team talk ringing in their ears but struggled to get on level terms until Calvin Colquhoun struck from close range with fifteen minutes to go. With a draw no real use to either side, it was Carnoustie who got the winner when Gorton in the Lochee goal could only parry a shot into the path of Gowfers leading striker, Dale Reid, who made no mistake to send the Carnoustie support in a large crowd in to raptures.
